Mark, or ‘Nellie’ as he is known by students and friends across the golf industry, has been entrenched in the golf world for nearly 25 years. Mark comes to Nashawtuc after 20+ years at Pine Brook Country Club. Mark started his golf career the same way many players and coaches started, in the bag room. It was during this time that Mark’s passion for golf and service began to blossom. Through hard work and determination, Mark quickly ascended through the ranks to become the First Assistant Golf Professional at Pine Brook Country Club. For more than 15 years Mark worked as a private instructor, teaching beginning golfers, mid-handicap players, and highly competitive players of all ages. During his time as a class “A” member of the PGA of America and First Assistant Golf Professional, Mark was named a “Top 50” Junior Instructor by U.S Kids Golf in both 2013 and 2015 and is a Level 1 TPI Certified Instructor. For Mark, there is no ‘standard’ client, he enjoys the ability to provide knowledge and instruction to anyone willing to take the time to learn. Whether they are six years old or 60 years old, Mark has the experience and passion for teaching anyone how to be a better golfer.
